It does look like a bridge to nowhere but it is all in the scheduled planning of the Motukaraka to Camborne section of Te Ara Piko, the Meanderering Path on the north side of Pauatahanui Inlet.

Funding from Trust House (previously known as Mana Community Grants Foundation) has enabled the construction of the bridge which had to be completed within the year of the funds being awarded to the project. The methodology for the building of the boardwalk is clever in that there is no impact on the environment outside of its narrow corridor.

Progress was held up for some weeks due to the power lines overhead, but now that electricity has been briefly redirected, works have begun again and the boardwalk is marching towards its finish line.
